  1. The bunnies!!

  2. Looks like some fresh veggies for bunnies…a nice selection of dark greens and crunch to go with their hay…guinea pigs would go for some of this too.

  3. Lettuce see… Emily and Nancy, you’ve got it! Loved this wonderful photo that Animal Rescue League of Boston recently posted on their Facebook page for 3 reasons: 1) It’s compelling and makes for great social media fodder; 2.) It’s a fun way to let Facebook fans know there are bunnies and guinea pigs available for adoption, and 3.) It’s a great tool for raising awareness on responsible rabbit/GP ownership.

“The rabbits & piggies are given salads every day, of course,” explains ALRB volunteer Amy, “but on Friday mornings, my favorite day to volunteer, I always go to the grocery store and buy a variety of things because I like to make their salads & watch how happy they get when they eat them! Everyone always comments on how delicious they look, so we decided to take a pic last week & post it to show everyone what our rabbits eat in regards to produce, & also to make people aware of how important daily salads are. It’s very upsetting to see how many rabbits are surrendered to our shelter who are given a produce-free diet,” reports Amy. ”When they are given their 1st taste, it’s the absolute cutest thing!”

P.S. We also love how ARLB utilizes social media-savvy volunteers to create content that’s educational and engaging.

  4. It is so much fun to give them something different and special…and we have started growing some herbs and flowers like petunias for our bunnies too. They like dandelion leaves also. Thanks for this one!!
