Pune Dracker, Editor, Shelters' Edge Says:
When it comes to raising awareness of homeless animals and calling the community to action, Humane Society of Greater Dayton’s Pawlitics Without Politics campaign rocks the vote. The Ohio agency is running this campaign throughout the ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge, during which 50 shelters across the country are competing to save more lives from August 1 through October 31 than they did during the same 3 months last year.
What’s super cool is that a positive, fun campaign like this is appealing not only to the public, but to the media, too—HSGD got the local news to cover their event in this fun clip: http://www.wdtn.com/dpp/news/local/greene_county/humane-society-on-campaign-tail#.UCp_UUKXJaV

P.S. A powerful theme is also helpful if your agency is participating in a campaign that involves asking supporters to vote for you online. Read our article, “Using Supporters to Get Out the Vote,” for more deets: http://www.aspcapro.org/tips-using-supporters-to-get-out-the-vote.php.
