Wordless Wednesday
Put your creative marketing hat on and fill in the blanks:
Adopt a _____. Never _____ again.
P.S. You don’t have to focus on a particular breed (“dog” and “cat” are more than mighty fine with us!), this one’s more about exercising your slogan-writing chops.
Looking for the scoop behind last week’s Wordless Wednesday? We’ve shared it here.
Update, July 24: This started out, says the ASPCA’s Trish McMillan Loehr, MSc, CPDT, Director, Applied Research and Behavior, as “just a funny photo of our new dog Duncan patiently waiting at the bathroom door the other day.” Click the comment box to find out what happened when Trish posted it on Facebook.

Adopt a Wordless Wednesday reader… never write taglines alone again! Great job, you guys– we wanted to show how much fun creative marketing can be, especially with such a juicy example from the ASPCA’s Trish McMillan Loehr, MSc, CPDT, Director, Applied Research and Behavior. Inspired by something she’d recently learned at HSUS Expo—that adoption promotions work better if they make people want to laugh rather than cry—Trish created what she thought was “just a funny photo of our new dog Duncan patiently waiting at our bathroom door the other day, to let people know that adult dogs can bond really well, too.”
Trish sent it to the rescue from where Duncan was adopted, “to use as they wish to promote their dogs.” As it turns out, Trish’s little creative experiment went viral, with more than 500 shares from the Illinois Doberman Rescue page in just one day. (It’s now up to 873 shares.)
Could be fun to create one for your agency—or how about asking your Facebook fans for their photos and versions of this slogan?!
