Take Five Friday: Talking Cats, Marketing Deaf Dogs & Getting Your Groupon On
- Crazy revolutionary idea of the week for building relationships with supporters: Ask ‘em what they want to know more about…and then tell them!
After posting that status on their Facebook Timeline last week, Calgary Humane Society took into account all those juicy 118 comments (biggest pet peeve: off-leash dogs) and followed up with this bit of awesomeness:
Not only is this piece visually compelling with engaging, well-written copy, CHS knows this topic is hitting the mark…’cause they asked.
- Say what?! A great idea for getting engagement on your Facebook page has just bubbled up to the surface: Take a tip from The Louisiana SPCA and put speech bubbles on your pix of available animals and ask fans to write the captions. So super-cool it leaves me, uh, speechless!
- Now hiring for Take Five Friday: great job board postings! This position announcement from Kansas Humane Society really gets the job done–empowering, engaging, detailed, dynamic…
KHS posted this on their Facebook Timeline with the following status: “Do you know someone that could save the world using nothing more than a spoon, a roll of duct-tape and a #2 pencil? That’s the person we’re looking for…” Talk about spreading some good vibes to all KHS’ Facebook fans about what a positive place this. (And it kinda makes you proud to be in animal sheltering, huh?!)
- Check out Austin Humane Society‘s recent Groupon promotion: “If 40 People Donate $10, Then Austin Humane Society Can Provide a Night of Shelter for 20 Animals!” I may suck at math, but I know that with more than 850 folks signing on, that’s a lotta nights of shelter for a lot of animals. Lovin’ that this promo raises not only funds, but awareness, too. Have you tried Groupon at your agency? Please share your deets in the comment box.
-Friday video break, brilliant dog marketing edition: This. Next. One. Just. Rocks. Great job, Animal Humane | New Mexico! (And congrats to Rhino, who was recently adopted.)
Wanted to leave you with a smile…hope it worked. : )
