Volunteers?

It looks like it might be Volunteer Appreciation Day…goodness knows they deserve one…and so much more. Where would we be without them? Or possibly a thank you to adopters/donors.
Elyse Orecchio, Shelters' Edge Says:
Good call, guys! This was indeed a shindig for volunteers courtesy of Cat Depot in Sarasota, FL., in celebration of National Volunteer Appreciation Week.
We love the awesome page on their website dedicated to volunteers. They are very specific about the help they need from volunteers, from photography and food prep to medical data entry and laundry.
Great, too, is the language used on their page to enlist more volunteers, and show appreciation for the ones they’ve got: “We call them volunteers, but to our felines and Cat Depot team members, volunteers are heroes . . . heroes that help us save lives!”
But you want to hear more about the par-tay, right? Get a hanky ready when you click through this photo album of the event: they decked out the shelter, got photos of many smiling volunteers, played music – and you can bet your bottom dollar there was cake!

I was one of those lucky volunteers! Wonderful raffle prizes, food, drink, music, games, and yes, there was cake. I’m proud to be a volunteer at the Cat Depot!
