Nancy Clark Says:
I wish I had more to say about this, but we are just starting to use social media the way it should be (we hope) and are just starting to get a handle on the kind of response we get. I found the stats here very interesting and am going to use them to look more closely at our insights and postings. The more you know about what reaches your fans and friends and partners the better.
Pune Dracker, Editor, Shelters' Edge Says:
Sounds like you’re already good “friends” with Facebook, Nancy! Stats like the ones on this chart can be wonderful as guidelines and great reminders for checking in with what’s happening on your Timeline—and trying out something new.
That’s one way Butte Humane Society’s Dustin Alexander, who shared this chart with us, uses it. “We utilize this information and tested it, but we don’t follow it 100%,” he says. “Every Facebook page has a different relationship with their followers, so it is important to use the information given to us, but it is also important to track analytics and alter message accordingly. What anyone should take from this is that engagement is the key to social media. Have fun with it, don’t be afraid to try new things and always be prepared to shake up and change what you are doing. After all, if you had the same exact conversation with a friend every time you saw them, would you keep wanting to hang out with them? Facebook isn’t much different from this!”
Makes you wanna update your status right now, doesn’t it?!
