Tip of the Week: Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow
Keep spay/neuter surgeries rolling right along with this smart idea from Dr. Philip Bushby, DVM, MS, DACVS.

Use an adhesive roller to pick up any fine hairs that are missed by a vaccuum after shaving of a spay/neuter surgical site. This is important as such hairs can interfere with sterility of the site and complicate closure of the skin.
After use, the adhesive tape is removed and the roller is ready for the next patient.
Doing this already? Can’t wait to try it? Share this with your colleagues or bring it to your next staff meeting!
We’ll meet you here every week for tips we’ve gleaned and seen that may make your life a little easier, make a routine process go a little faster or deliver some extra comfort for the animals in your care.
