We first saw Nate the pup on Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society's Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/mohawkhumane, where fans were asked to write a caption to go along with the photo of him. (Sound familiar?!) MHHS scores in two big ways here: One, this is an incredible, engaging photo (big share factor!) and two, Nate was up for adoption, so it's a smart way to promote available animals. We've been talking a lot lately about the value of a great photo, and we've heard from many shelters, including MHHS, that rely on dedicated volunteers for their photographs. "The photo of Nate was taken by a professional photographer who volunteers his time – he has made a huge difference for all our dog pictures," MHHS' Executive Director Brad Shear, CAWA, told us. P.S.
