Yes, Nate was adopted yesterday. I'm not sure his new family knows how famous he is, but I'm sure he'll let them know.

OK, OK, you guys totally proved that old adage, "Everyone's a comedian!"

We first saw Nate the pup on Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society's Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/mohawkhumane, where fans were asked to write a caption to go along with the photo of him. (Sound familiar?!) MHHS scores in two big ways here: One, this is an incredible, engaging photo (big share factor!) and two, Nate was up for adoption, so it's a smart way to promote available animals.

We've been talking a lot lately about the value of a great photo, and we've heard from many shelters, including MHHS, that rely on dedicated volunteers for their photographs. "The photo of Nate was taken by a professional photographer who volunteers his time – he has made a huge difference for
all our dog pictures," MHHS' Executive Director Brad Shear, CAWA, told us.

P.S. MHHS, if you're reading this, let us know if Nate got adopted!
