  1. The perfect scenario – all the animals have been adopted so there is no more need for the beds…

  2. What a wonderful world this would be… if only these cots were not needed and all of the pups in this world had cozy, caring, forever homes.

  3. “the ‘spay & neuter your pets’ thing has really taken off, eh?”

  4. Wanda Fary Says:

These Kurunda beds are too often the first objects of comfort and symbols of care many homeless dogs encounter.

  5. Kim’s answer is perfect…if only it were true. They’ve been cleaned and sterilized waiting on the next batch of the unwanted and homeless delivered by the careless and uncaring.

  6. Susan Ruderman Says:

“Our shelters are so crowded we have had to install Murphy beds for all the dogs…”

  7. “Safety alert! Please dry beds on just one side of the wall to allow 3 feet of space (OSHA regulation) for folks to pass by…and avoid a fine!!” ;-)

  8. Ready for the showers!

  9. Woo-woo! A-plus all around–and don’t be surprised if we seek your assistance in captioning photos in the future. You guys rock!

If you don’t use Kuranda beds at your agency, here’s a compelling reason to do so if you want to make your cats a little more comfortable during their stay, courtesy of the ASPCA’s Katherine Miller, Ph.D., CAAB, CPDT, Director, Applied Science and Research:

“If your cat cages don’t have perching shelves installed in them, Kuranda has a solution. Their cat beds fit into many ‘standard’ shelter cages, increasing the usable space inside by providing an elevated perch, plus they are durable and easily cleaned. Definitely worth checking in to.”
