I have absolutely no clue.

Clean linens to be separated and folded … once it’s full it becomes an opportunity for achievement.
or…. a food bowl sanitation bin. Once washed, they go for a sanitation dunk in appropriately mixed solution.
or …. puppies!
Leese Says:
It is a summer puppy play pool, a difficult thing to store over the winter and makes a great UFO on a windy day. One shelter I worked at used it for all three. Fill it with water in the summer and put it in the play yard. Amazing how many dogs just jumped right in and had a great time. Once winter came around, always being short on space we never knew where to actually store it. We would be forced to give up some precious indoor storage space when the winter winds would pick it up and sail it across the parking log.

Soaking ALL of the surgery instruments after use and before scrubbing, etc…
Liz Says:
hm, soaking kongs and other enrichment toys in bleach or etc before they get tossed in the washer?

What great responses! The animal sheltering field is nothing if not resourceful and innovative. (Leese, you were VERY close…)
And without further ado, here’s what the folks at N.O.A.H. Adoption & Spay/Neuter Center in Stanwood, WA, do with this giant kiddie pool:
“It’s Washington’s largest laundry basket!” says N.O.A.H’s ED, Austin Gates. “It starts out as a doggy swimming pool, and when our happy dogs pop a hole in one, it gets ‘repurposed’ for a great laundry basket. Dump the dirty laundry in…and hose it out at the end of the day when the laundry is done.”
Thanks to everyone for playing—and we hope y’all come back every Wednesday!
