Equine Fund Workshops

This series of day-long professional workshops is aimed at helping equine rescue and sanctuary operators improve their skill sets in four critical areas: fundraising, board development, best practices and coalition-building. Funded by a generous grant from the Rosalind and Franklyn Schaefer family, the workshops will be held in 14 locations across the nation, enabling as many equine rescuers to attend as possible.

Yes; the ASPCA Equine Fund is offering a limited number of travel stipends for qualified participants who are traveling a considerable distance to attend. Email equinefund@aspca.org for information on travel stipends.

What will I learn?

Participants will learn new strategies for fundraising, how to build an effective, engaged board of directors, necessary best practices for  attaining accreditation, as well as skills for working with law enforcement to effect positive change for at-risk equines.

Is there a limit to how many people can attend per organization?

No, in fact we encourage groups to bring at least two representatives, so all can help implement the skills and ideas learned at the workshop. Volunteers interested in fundraising are strongly encouraged to attend.
