Apply to the ASPCA Veterinary Scholarship Program
The bold, new ASPCA Veterinary Scholarship Program is a national initiative supporting veterinary and veterinary technician students who are committed to pursuing careers in mission-focused animal welfare. Through meaningful financial assistance and long-term engagement with the ASPCA, the program aims to strengthen the veterinary workforce in shelters and nonprofit settings, expand access to veterinary care and cultivate a community of professionals dedicated to improving the lives of animals.
When do applications open?
Apply beginning January 20, 2026, through March 3, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.
Who can apply?
Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be enrolled in a veterinary or veterinary technician program for the entire 2026-2027 academic year.
- Be enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary or veterinary technician program whose graduates are immediately able to sit for their licensing exam.
- Demonstrate financial need. (Based on FAFSA application.)
What are the scholarship amounts?
Up to $100,000 for veterinary students and $20,000 for veterinary technician students.
What documentation is required?
- Veterinary School Transcript: If the applicant has completed any coursework in a veterinary program.
- Veterinary Technician School Transcript: If the applicant has completed any coursework in a veterinary technician program.
- 2026-2027 FAFSA Submission Summary: All applicants.
What does the scholarship cover?
Any qualified educational expenses including tuition, fees, books, supplies and other required equipment.
