50 Things To Do on Facebook

  1. Ask fans to donate their statuses to an animal available for adoption
  2. Create a page for a shelter "spokespet"
  3. Put local businesses and local groups you work with on your Favorite Pages list
  4. Run a trivia contest for a week; every day your status will be a new question!
  5. Start a Photo Album and ask fans for photos of pets adopted from your shelter
  6. Share weekly pet care tips
  7. Post your weekly adoption numbers
  8. Give a shout-out to a top volunteer
  9. Ask a question! i.e. What's your pet's best trick? If your pet were a celebrity, who would he/she be?
  10. Post your hours of operation and directions under the Info tab
  11. Post adopters' happy endings stories in your Notes section
  12. Post a video of a pet available for adoption
  13. Post a link to a cool animal video (you know, the ones your friends send you…)
  14. Start an In Memoriam Photo Album and ask fans to share their photos
